Matt
Project Engineer
Matt joined the company in April 2020 as one of the first Electricians brought onboard to move the company forward within the Electrotechnical sector. By virtue of professional stalemate Matt took the radical step in late 2015 to self-fund his career change. In less than 18 months Matt had achieved his first qualifications and gained experience and practical skills through voluntary work experience, unlocking new opportunities in Electrical Installations. It was world renowned Sunseeker International that gave Matt his first break – a break that would see Matt’s skills grow exponentially alongside his enthusiasm for the Electrical Industry. Continuing with his studies to further his development and keen to expand his knowledge, Matt shifted his focus to Inspection and Testing, opting to seek new challenges in the form of an MOD based contract under the employment of Richard Irvin Energy Solutions. Matt worked as a mobile engineer across several Dorset based locations and capitalised on opportunities to expand his working knowledge of Plant Room operations, BMS systems and Control circuits. Early 2020, wanting to learn more, and not willing to let a worldwide pandemic thwart his aspirations, Matt once again looked for new challenges within the HV sector and found his place in the ENS Team. Since then, Matt has developed his own unique skill set within the Utility Power Networks sector and most recently moved to a supporting role furthering his career progression as a Project Engineer.
