WAHOO!! We are 10 Years old this week

01/08/11

Unbelivably we have been supporting our clients for 10 years now. From the humble beginnings of working from the spare bedroom in my girlfriend's flat (she's now my wife!), to the fully accredited and approved support company working with some of the countries largest electrical distribution companies.

We would like to thank all our clients and suppliers for their help and support.

Here's looking to the next 10 years!!

Riding High!

15/06/11

The Energy Network Services Cycle team have completed their first event of the year!! It was a 2hr MTB enduro event in Dorset. Director Richard O'Shea came in an embarrassing 99th (out of 140!). Proof that he is working too hard!! On a more positive note: Pete Carter finished in an impressive 20th place!!

We are also proud to announce that we are sponsoring the AFC Bournemouth Football Academy this year. Come on you Cherries!!

On the work front we are working very hard with some of the UK's largest IDNO's in various locations, installing new HV & LV networks. At the opposite end of the spectrum we are de-commissioning a 33kV sub station for the Welsh Assembly-it's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it!

ISO 9001:2008 Acreditation too!

10th May, 2011

Close in the footsteps of our NERS accreditation we have also been accredited ISO 9001:2008 by Lloyds Registered Quality Assurance! LRQA are know for their stringent auditing....No "fly by night" accreditations here. The system is now working very well and we are actually finding it's making us a more efficient organisation.

We've done it !! NERS!!

10th May 2011

After too may hours and lots of audits we have now been accredited by the Lloyds NERS (National Electrical Registration Scheme). We are now able to carry out contestable works for private clients/IDNO's. This is an opportunity with the opening up of the "new connections" market. As ever ENS is looking to take advantage of this and offer our "new works" clients a genuine alternative to using the Regional Electrical Company to carry out connection works.

ENS is extremely proud to announce that they are now fully registered as a supplier on the Achilles Utility Vendor Database (UVDB)

Nov 2010

Achilles UVDB is operated as a 'qualification system' and gathers information about suppliers, e.g. financial performance, health, safety, environmental policy, CSR, products and services data and is checked for accuracy and that it is up-to-date. Once this has been confirmed to meet their strict standards, the information is then made available online to buyers.

SAFE contractor Approved

July 2010

ENS is one of the latest group of successful companies to join this leading edge scheme, designed to help industry improve its safety record. ENS has recently received accreditation from SAFEcontractor, a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practice amongst UK contractors. ENS is extremely proud to have passed the assessment and acknowledges all the hard work the team put in to achieve this award.

Electrical firm creates buzz with re-launch

March 2010

A high voltage electrical firm has dropped its long-standing franchise arrangement and re-launched with a new a name and a fresh brand.

Whisper Electrical Limited, which was established nine years ago as a franchise of HVMS has been renamed Energy Network Services.

The Dorset-based company, which has undertaken major infrastructure projects for the Ministry of Defence, Bournemouth Airport and Southampton Docks, specialises in the installation, operation and maintenance of low and high voltage networks ranging from 415V to 132kV.

Director Richard O’Shea said: “2010 is an exciting year for us – re-launching the company marks the start of greater commercial freedom. We’ve built a strong reputation for excellence in our field and breaking free from the shackles of a franchise enables us to deliver even better value to our clients. We have performed very well during the last year and appear to have bucked the trend during the recent financial turmoil.”

“We’re delighted with our new brand and are investing heavily in the future; with greater staff training and new accreditations in recognition of our skills.”

Energy Network Services covers the whole of the UK, with the bulk of projects taking place in London and the South.

The firm regularly lays the complete electrical infrastructure for projects such as housing estates and is also contracted to carry out smaller projects such as protection testing, cable pulling and fault finding & repair. They are also responsible for the maintenance of many electrical networks in the region: Fords Transit plant in Eastleigh for one, and have worked on projects for the likes of Rolls Royce and Bentley Motor Co. At the opposite end of the scale they are assisting a Local Authority with their emergency standby generator and UPS set up.

Rolls Royce

14th September 2006

We are working with Dalkia Utilities in offering Rolls Royce a full HV maintenance and support package at their Chichester facility. The maintenance was carried out during their annual maintenance shutdown at the high tech production line. We are currently also working with them to modify some of the LV panels on site to minimise power disruptions during future maitenances.

E.D.F.

2nd December 2005

Energy Network Services is in it's third year of this ongoing maintenance contract and have now completed approximately 800 sub-stations, but the 'in-box' just keeps on filling up!! We have also been contracted to install 4,000 Earth Fault Indicators (EFI's), have now started the 132kV maintenance of 300 sub stations, 132kV protection, LV link box inspections, 11kv protection. We are now retro fitting TALUS units to enable remote switching of HV switchgear.
